Hotel Segas is located 80km southwest from Athens and Athens Airport (110km from airport) and it takes around 1hr to arrive by car. It is about 4 km from the Corinth Canal and 7km from Corinth. Loutraki is the gateway to the Peloponnese and it is ideal as a base for exploring the Peloponnese as well as Athens and, at the same, you can enjoy the relaxed seaside resort.
In Loutraki, Hotel Segas is situated right in the centre of the town, halfway between the Aghios Ioannis Cathedral and the 25th March Central Square with the water fountains. The beachfront is 4 minutes walk away and most of the essential shops are on the pedestrian road or nearby, providing you with easy access to all your necessities. The Hotel is only 450 meters or 5 minutes from the KTEL Coach station. If you arrive by car or taxi, please drive straight ahead on the Eleftheriou Venizelou Avenue until you reach the beautiful water fountains on the 25th March Square, where both National and Alpha Banks are located. Ideally, you can then turn right and reach the hotel. You may drive and park outside the hotel but during the summer months parking may be somehow restricted. The hotel staff will happily provide you with alternative, nearby, free parking suggestions.
Arrive from Athens airport
RENT A CAR AND DRIVE TO LOUTRAKI : Best way to arrive and explore the area
We thoroughly recommend renting a car for convenience. It is the most economical and efficient way to explore Loutraki and the Peloponnese. A small car should cost about €30 per day (for up to 5 people!) and will allow you to explore the area at your own pace. Loutraki is an easy 1hr direct drive from the airport on the Attiki Odos and then on the E94 motorway, following signs to Elefsis and Corinth, bypassing all Athens traffic. Exit 9 of the motorway to Loutraki is on the right, after the second set of toll booths and just before you reach the Corinth Canal.
ARRIVING BY SUBURBAN RAILWAY PROASTIAKOS TRAIN (ATHENS AIRPORT-KIATO LINE)
The fast suburban Proastiakos train between Athens Airport, Athens and CORINTH is another way to arrive. Loutraki and Hotel Segas are about 9km away from the Corinth train terminal. If you arrive by train, it is a 15 minute drive by taxi and the fare will cost you around €15 for up to 4 people. The trains operate every 2 hours, cost €12 one way per person and the journey is about 1hour and 20 minutes! First train out of Athens Airport is at 05:44 am and the last one 17:44 pm.

We can reserve a transfer service to and from the airport. Please email us your flight details.
Taxis in Greece are relatively inexpensive and are good value even for long journeys, especially if you are travelling with friends. Taxis should be metered and you should ensure that the TaxiMeter is running. A taxi from the airport to Loutraki costs €130 for up to 4 passengers one way. Airport pick up prices are usually fixed and arranged by the Radio Taxi consortium in Loutraki (Tel: +30 27440 61000). If you get a taxi outside the airport terminal you should negotiate the price in advance.
Explore the area , Athens and Peloponnesse
Loutraki is renowned for its award-winning, blue flag beach about 4 minutes walk from the hotel. The beach is very pleasant for a swim anytime during the day but equally enjoyable for a relaxing evening walk. Don’t forget your camera to capture those magical sunset colours deep in the horizon! If you are in for a treat, you may wish to visit the wonderful Spa offering thermal baths and relaxation packages, also 5 minutes walk from the hotel. In the evenings, you may try your luck in the local Casino but also enjoy flavours of Greek cuisine in one of the many restaurants catering for all tastes and budgets.
Further afield and, within 30 min. drive, you may wish to visit Vouliagmeni Lake for a swim and fresh fish as well as the nearby Heraion Archaeological site and the Melagavi Lighthouse. Straight on from Vouliagmeni, you can reach Mylokopi, Strava and Schinos beaches. Further up the Geraneia mountain, the Osios Patapios monastery is open to all visitors during daytime. Modest dressing code may be required for entering the monastery. The Geraneia mountains offer a plethora of natural attractions worth visiting, hence our recommendation for a car to explore at your one pace.
